Wings to Soar Online Academy partners with BrainWare SAFARI to improve 41 basic underlying cognitive functions in 6 main areas: attention; memory; visual processing; auditory processing; sensory integration; and logic, reasoning, and planning. By strengthening the mental processing skills (called cognitive skills) that are the most necessary for performance in school, work, and life, BrainWare SAFARI builds learning capacity and effective thinking.

BrainWare SAFARI incorporates the latest neuroscience and decades of proven clinical approaches to cognitive skills development and into an engaging video-game format. It is also supported by published research showing improvement in cognitive skills by two to four years on average after 10-12 weeks of use.

Although BrainWare SAFARI does not teach reading, math, or other academics, student’s ability to learn these subjects improves as the underlying cognitive skills improve. So does their ability to take in, apply, understand, and retain information. Because of this, we recommend that most of our students at Wings to Soar complete BrainWare SAFARI to boost their learning in all other areas.

BrainWare SAFARI is a series of 20 computer-based, interactive games that develop and strengthen 41 cognitive skills. Recommended usage for BrainWare SAFARI is five 30-minute sessions per week for 12-14 weeks. After the initial period, you will continue to have access for the intensity of use that is appropriate for your student through May.

While you could purchase BrainWare SAFARI on your own, that version does not include a few valuable added benefits that Wings to Soar Online Academy offers in conjunction with the program: 

• One of our coaches will monitor your child’s progress for the 12-week targeted intervention 
• You will receive weekly progress reports for the first month, then every-other week reports for the next two months, and monthly reports as long as they keep actively using the program
